By car/motorcycle

Travelling to the Adelaide Street Circuit by car is generally straightforward thanks to good motorway connections leading into the city. The circuit is located within Adelaide’s parklands close to the CBD, making it accessible from several directions across South Australia and neighbouring Victoria.

During major events such as the Australian MotoGP Grand Prix, temporary road closures, traffic management and restricted parking can be expected around the circuit area. Visitors are therefore advised to plan their journey and follow official event signage.

Most fans travelling by car will arrive from regional South Australia or nearby parts of Victoria, with Melbourne being the most common long-distance starting point.

Final approach to Adelaide Street Circuit

Because the track runs through Adelaide’s parklands near the city centre, parking close to the venue is usually limited during major events. Organisers normally provide:

  • designated event parking areas
  • park-and-ride services
  • clearly signposted drop-off points

Arriving early is strongly recommended, especially on race day, as traffic around the circuit area can become busy.
