By plane

Flying is generally the quickest and most convenient way to reach the Adelaide Street Circuit, especially for international visitors or fans travelling from other parts of Australia. Adelaide Airport is located very close to the city centre, making onward travel to the circuit simple and relatively fast.

Adelaide Airport (ADL)

  • Location: Approximately 6 km west of central Adelaide.
  • Details: Adelaide Airport serves both domestic and international flights and is the main aviation gateway to South Australia. It offers regular connections to major Australian cities as well as selected international destinations.
  • Facilities: A modern terminal with restaurants, cafés, shops, car-hire providers, ATMs and nearby accommodation options.
  • Getting to the circuit: Taxi or rideshare usually takes around 15–20 minutes. Public buses run frequently between the airport and Adelaide CBD, from where the circuit area in the parklands is easily accessible.

Connecting via other Australian airports

If direct flights to Adelaide are unavailable, travellers often connect through larger hubs such as Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane before continuing on a domestic flight to Adelaide. These connections are frequent and typically straightforward.
