For fans who prefer staying closer to nature or travelling with a campervan or motorhome, several camping options are available in and around Adelaide. While the city centre itself has limited camping facilities, there are dedicated event areas and nearby caravan parks that provide convenient alternatives.

Wanderers Basecamp (Event Area)

Details: Located near Gate 6 at Rymill Park, this area is typically used during major events such as the BP Adelaide Grand Final and may serve as a temporary camping area for visitors travelling with tents, campervans, motorhomes or RVs. Its central location near the parklands makes it one of the closest camping options to the Adelaide Street Circuit.

Brownhill Creek Tourist Park

Details: Situated in the suburb of Mitcham, approximately 15–20 minutes from the city centre, this well-known tourist park offers powered caravan sites, camping spaces and cabins. The park is surrounded by nature and provides a quieter atmosphere while still being within a reasonable distance of the circuit.

Other caravan parks around Adelaide

Details: Additional camping and caravan options can be found in the wider Adelaide region. Parks such as Adelaide Shores Caravan Park or sites in the Adelaide Hills offer powered sites, facilities and cabin accommodation. These locations are further from the circuit but remain accessible by car or public transport.
